South East Europe Strategic Alliance for Rail Innovation (SEESARI) and International Union of Railways (UIC) are organizing a workshop “Railway development potentials in South East Europe“ to be held in Paris, France on 12 December.
The event will be organized during the UIC Statutory meetings in Paris between 11 and 13 December.
The South East Europe has enormous railway development potentials that could enhance connectivity, trade and economic growth in the region. As the region continues to develop and modernize its railway transport infrastructure, this workshop aims to bring together key stakeholders, including railway undertakings, government officials, research institutions, universities and other relevant organizations. Our goal is to discuss and explore the vast opportunities and challenges associated with railway development in South East Europe.
All SEESARI members and partners are encouraged to participate in this important dialogue and share the insights on how we can collectively advance railway development in our region.
The main topics of the workshop will be:
– Boosting Rail Development in South East Europe – Panel Discussion
– High-speed lines and cross-border passenger mobility in South East Europe – individual presentations
– Digital automatic coupling (DAC) to boost freight operation in SEE – Panel discussion
