South East Europe Strategic Alliance for Rail Innovation (SEESARI) and International Union of Railways (UIC), as main organizers, together with Saobraćajni institut CIP (CIP) as co-organizer, will host a major international railway event in Belgrade on 16–17 June 2026.
The event will bring together the SEESARI High-Level Conference and the UIC Regional Days, creating a unique platform for strategic dialogue on the future of railway systems in Southeast Europe.
This joint conference is particularly significant as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of SEESARI, marking a decade of regional cooperation and innovation in railway development.
The two-day event will gather high-level representatives from ministries, railway infrastructure managers, operators, industry leaders, international organizations, and research institutions. Participants will engage in discussions on key topics shaping the future of rail transport, including:
- High-speed rail development in Southeast Europe
- Digitalisation and innovation (including DAC)
- Interoperability and integration into the European railway network
- Freight transport, logistics, and intermodality
- Sustainable mobility and green transition
The programme will feature high-level panels, expert presentations, and strategic discussions aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and advancing the modernization of railway systems.
